Multivalent Ltd
Multivalent is a small company specialising in a branch of chemistry known as coordination chemistry which is the niche between inorganics and organometallics. We are a product incubation facility that spans the yawning gap between academic publication and robust commercialisation. Our scale of synthesis is from 10 g to 10 kg per batch. For historical reasons most of our products are metal alkoxides and their prime application is as oxide precursors in the advanced materials industry. But we frequently employ our practical experience outside these generalisations of material and market.
Currently (9/09) we make products of 32 elements of the periodic table and divide their applications into ten areas as follows: nano-materials & thin films, display & imaging, optics & glasses, energy conversion & storage, ferroelectrics, healthcare & biological, catalysis & synthesis, engineering & environmental, hybrid & disperse materials, and finally sensors.
The initial demand for our individual products is often very small, but someone has to start the ball rolling and we often end up as the first qualified source when serious exploitation begins. We have been in business four years and established a track record for prompt response and reliable supply within this interesting niche of chemistry. We are based near Cambridge in the UK and currently ship goods to 18 countries so we invite global enquiries.
